  • “LOUNGESCAPE stems from ongoing research on the theme of a home’s living spaces,” remarked designer Antonio Citterio. “The raked base, signature feature of the design, lends a sensation of lightness while maintaining its bold visual presence.”

Loungescape is a seating system designed by Antonio Citterio, who envisions the sofa as a versatile piece capable of transforming the living space. Just as the contours of the land determine a landscape, Loungescape shapes the home’s environment, becoming its focal point and offering new perspectives on comfort and beauty.

Loungescape’s unique one-piece structure groups soft cushions together to form a harmonious whole. Its organic shapes are meticulously crafted, based on the principles of the ideal balance between proportions and angles of inclination, to encourage an experience that blends relaxation and hospitality.

Loungescape’s signature detail is its raked base that lends lightness to the structure, in contrast to the initial impression of monolithic solidity it conveys.

  • Modularity and a choice of available size options make Loungescape an especially versatile seating system, one with numerous possible configurations suited to all kinds of spaces. The opportunity to select fabrics and leathers from the exclusive Flexform collection opens up countless upholstery customization options to create unique, distinctive design solutions.

  • Flexform exemplifies artisanal luxury goods made in Italy.

Our identity reflects our all-Italian values. Ours is an all-Italian success story. Our furniture is crafted in one country - Italy - from design concept to finished product. We have just one production plant, in Meda, where everything is manufactured and locally sourced.

“Dedication and determination have allowed us to stay true to our identity and we have built a reputation for ourselves in countries near and far. Interaction with different cultures has broadened our perspective and helped us cultivate an openness to new experiences. But our production philosophy has remained the same. Our products are prized because they are the embodiment of “Made in Italy” and because they are an almost magical distillation of elegance, comfort and inconspicuous luxury. We meet expectations. This is what we consistently give our clients, because it is in our DNA, effortlessly.”

“At Flexform, our Made in Italy philosophy also extends to our quest to employ the best artisans; their skill is evident in our products. Our sofas and other pieces of furniture require remarkable expertise, the touch of FLE“knowing hands” that is essential to

making a product of such premium manufacturing quality. The Brianza district is renowned in the world of furnishings because it is filled with specialized craftsmen whose expertise and skills are passed down from one generation to the next. The products they make are unique and unrivalled.”

ARCHIVISM ON VIEW NOW

A small wooden side table with a rounded rectangular top, placed on a wooden floor, with a black background nearby. Four books are stacked on the table, with titles related to home design and furniture.

  • ARCHIVISM is a conversation amongst friends, a privately held idea developed over years and manifested into existence through a collaborative effort. Friends turn to founders in pursuit of a shared vision for a new perspective.

A brand formed from the dust of experience and aspiration, defined by objects that contain a dialogue of concept and craft. Backed by an ever-growing community of caring individuals, we commence a new phase of bringing our brand into the world. This vision unites the complementary expertise of our founders.

Bocci 22 System

22 System is a suite of electrical devices that integrate with any architectural finish. Interchangeable and UL-Listed, it is a minimal and flexible alternative to traditional systems, designed by Bocci.

Inspired by the Pacific Northwest and Canada's seminal artist Emily Carr’s painting Arbutus Tree, 22 System introduces six new device colors: Forest, Khaki, Ice, Carob, Oxblood & Dove.

Warm, grounded, and quietly expressive, these new tones expand the system’s minimalist design vocabulary offering a deeper harmony between electrical detail and architectural surface.

  • It is our belief that selecting heritage furnishings contributes to developing an industry that foregrounds durability and craftsmanship, promoting stronger environmental stewardship.

MR. recognizes the inherent challenges in navigating global supply chains for the transport and sale of contemporary design goods. Throughout the process—from fabrication to shipping—we work closely with our brand partners to address our environmental impact and reduce our carbon footprint whenever possible.

We carefully select firms that prioritize and share our mission, and look to further that conversation with clients & suppliers in all of our projects.

We are perpetually inspired by several of our partners like PP Møbler, cc-tapis, Tacchini, Normann Copenhagen and others as they chart new approaches to materials and productions methodologies.

We are proud to drive this vital work forward, prioritizing conservation and sustainability initiatives across all sectors of our work.

  • Lately all I’m talking about are tariffs. First, I’ve panicked and worried about what that means for my business, for my employees, for the vendors we work with, for our clients.
And then, I think about acting and getting ahead of this mess and making it coherent and understandable for my team and for clients. But then, the rules change and I have to stop and regroup and reach out to my vendors and dig deeper into understanding each and every product that we carry and sell. And it’s a lot of products and it’s a lot of moving parts. And in all of this, I’ve learned two things:

    1. Manufacturers cannot exist alone, they exist in industries.

    2. Industries exist in communities.

And here we are back to what I have been trying to grow in my one—well now, two—lone showroom(s): a community. A community of colleagues, vendors, designers, friends, artists, and all the people that want to discover the beauty that surrounds us.

The thing is, niche industry exists in small areas because more than one manufacturer is there. Knowledge is shared, machinery is built around industry, supplier economies and complex networks are created. And industries cannot just be created instantly – most of our manufacturers claim generations of craftspeople developing techniques and designs for 50, 75, and some well over 100 years. So tearing down these walls of global connection will directly impact my own business, my own community. And living in isolation is not the future I want.

I will continue to think and talk about tariffs as long as they exist and the threat remains. I hope to be on the other side of all of this soon with clarity and continued connection with my larger design community at MR.

    Hillary Rielly
